Wrought iron well head (Reference 1298)
Wrought iron wellhead, which although in one piece is composed of two parts. In the bottom part, plain vertical rods placed closely together create a protective edge below the opening. On the other side, the rods become decorative volutes. The structure above rises lightly bulging into a globe shape then back together to support the pulley. The top ends in a round ball shape. This structure must have been covered with vine type plants, creating a beautiful green topiary type design.
