This Napoleon III style clock was made in the 19th century in molded crystal partially mattified.
On the top, a young boy dressed in the antique style is reading a parchment scroll and sitting on books.
The clock itself has an oval body decorated with a frieze of godrons, torsades centered with paterae, and lion's heads. The base is octogonal.
The enamelled round clock face indicates the hours in blue roman numerals on a white background, framed by a frieze of plants in gilded metal.
