This small antique Neo-Renaissance style fireback with a very delicate decor was made out of cast iron during the 19th century.
The fireback is rectangular but curved at the top.
Three putti figures are placed within a Neo-Renaissance inspired portico. The putto in the centre, his shoulders covered by a drape, holds in his hands a vase containing a flame. The putto on the left kindles a fire with the help of a bellow whilst the one on the right pours water from a jar.
