This beautiful Regence style fireplace was made out of Sarrancolin marble during the 19th century. Its decoration is characteristic of the Regence style with beautiful curves, an important cartouche with foliage at the center of the paneled frieze, elegant moldings, scrolls or inverted and finely carved shells which decorate the jambs.
The beauty of this rich but still moderate decoration is underlined by the choice of a marble with glistening colours and pronounced veins.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert and with its marble floor, which is broken but will be restored in our workshop.
