A small mantel made in the Louis XVI style in the 19th century. Its half moon shape is soberly decorated with filleted fluted jambs and a molded entablature front. The heads of the jambs present an unusual décor of delicately carved sunflowers. The marble used here to make this mantel is a Medecis Breccia - a very rare and noble marble.
Without marble floor or insert.
