This beautiful Louis XVI style fireplace was made in Arabescato marble in the late 19th century.
The entablature is carved with a laurel wreath and two olive branches held together by a ribbon
The corners of the molded shelf are protruding to match the jambs, decorated with fluted half-columns topped by a ionic capital carved with acanthus leaves and resting on dices.
This fireplace is sold with an old cast iron insert but without any marble floor (could be made to order, depending on the availability of the marble).
