An antique very beautiful Louis XVI style fireplace made out of white Carrara marble during the 19th century. It is decorated with an acanthus leaf in a medallion in the center of the entablature, and is framed on both sides by fine friezes of pearls. Rolled-up jambs are decorated at the top with large acanthus leaves hanging down and a rolled up ribbon decorates the bottom of each leg.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert. A hearth could be made on order.
