This Napoleon III style fireplace was made in the 19th century. In Serravezza marble, coming from the same quarries as the famous Carrara White , this model borrows from the Louis XVI style straight lines, repeated in the moldings and the flutings on the jambs and the entablature. Only the heads of the jambs are decorated with medallions. Far from being simple, however, this Napoleon III fireplace multiplies the moldings, obtaining effects of varied shadows.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order.
