This Louis XV style fireplace, Pompadour model, was realized in the 19th century in a semi-statuary marble of Carrara. Its frieze is decorated in its center with a medallion and oblong panels, characteristic of the Pompadour model. The legs are consols. This fireplace has been carved in a beautiful marble of Carrara semi-statuary, marble very prized as it presents a beautiful whiteness. This brass insert - typical of the production of the region of Lyon - is also of interest.
This fireplace is sold with its original brass insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
