This Louis XVI style mantel was made of Carrara marble in the late 19th century. It depicts a simple moulding decoration on the entablature associated with square roses on the corners. The entablature, supported by convex jambs is adorned with flutes and asparagus peaks. The elegance of this mantel is shown by the simplicity of its decoration associated with the light veins of the Carrara marble.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
