This antique Regence style fireplace was made out of Arabescato marble during the 19th century. This fireplace is typical of the Regence style: the rectangular section is made up of a slightly curved shelf and straight jambs. It features a boudin Louis XV molding which runs all along the hearth opening. The entablature is decorated in its centre with a motif featuring acanthus leaves and floral branches. The curved console feet are carved in low-relief on the jambs, giving the illusion of movement.
This fireplace comes with an antique cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
