In good condition, a few stains on the top and both sides (visible on the pictures).
This beautiful Louis XV style fireplace was made in 19th century, in Carrara marble.
It is a characteristic model of the Second Empire, the Louis XV opulent style. The carved shell is subtly hatched and adorned with fine pearls, as well as the foliage in volutes on the heads of the entablature.
The carved foliage overlaps on each side of the shell in the center of the paneled entablature.
Likewise, the fineness of the sculpture of the leaves on the feet exploits with brilliance the beauty of the Carrara marble .
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order.
