This beautiful and curved antique fireplace in veined marble was made during the 19th century. This piece has the typical characteristics of Louis XVI style. The frieze is finely decorated with representative patterns such as a long rectangular recessed panel bursting at the center with a pair of laurel branches and a crown attached by a bow of ribbon. On either side high relief square rosettes decorate the top of the jambs. These winding jambs are canted and fluted.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert and original marble floor.
