Beautiful antique Louis XVI style fireplace made out of Grey Paonazzo with gilded bronze ornaments

In good condition. The cast iron insert is curved.
This Louis XVI style fireplace was made out of grey Paonazzo marble during the 19th century. The sculptures are made out of gilded bronze. The center of the entablature is elaborately decorated with two intertwined cornucopias from which flowers, fruit and foliage emerge. The quality of the chiseling is completely exceptional, as is the level of detail. The curved jambs are fluted and filleted. The asparagus heads and square rosettes are made out of gilded bronze.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert which was painted but will be cleaned. The original marble floor is not available.
