Good condition, including the enameled insert. No hearth floor.
White Carrara marble mantel in the Louis XVI style with a motif of fluting and molded panels. The fluting is filleted on both the entablature and the jambs. The shelf follows the line of the entablature as it projects forward.
This variety of marble is veined white Carrara marble.
