This mantel was carved in a Violet Breccia marble at the end of the 19th century and has an elegant carved decoration. The entablature features a discreet slightly curved sunflower in its centre, encircled by two horizontal panels and underlined by a straight moulding that runs the length of the entablature. It is flanked in the corners by two square rosettes. The slightly curved jambs are carved, with panelled heads and fluted feet. In conclusion, all these elements are characteristic of the Louis XVI style.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert and with its marble floor.
