Louis XVI style fireplace made in Carrara marble during the second half of the 19th century. The entablature is decorated with acanthus leaves in the centre and square rosettes at the ends. The slightly curved jambs are adorned at the top with large falling acanthus leaves.
The cast iron insert is decorated with vegetal scrolls which develop on each side of a central vase.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
