Beautiful Louis XVI style mantel from the very early 19th century, Neoclassical style, made out of white marble adorned with a light and joyful sculpture depicting the festive theme of the harvest. Delicately carved lush grape branches curl across the entablature, while the central ornament features drum and fife, a hat with a feather and a cornucopia symbol of abundance. Finely carved vases holding three heads of wheat - a symbol of fertility - support heads with carved square cartouches of grapes that echo the theme of the entablature.
This fireplace is sold without any insert nor marble floor but they can be made to order.
