Elegant Regence style Red of Rance marble mantel from the 18th century. The gently curved jambs are adorned with deep grooves and molded panels. The entablature, framed with relief moldings, presents a flourishing central shell. The curves of the rounded edge shelf follow the lines of the composition. The sides are a later addition.
