This very beautiful Louis XVI style fireplace was made out of a very white semi-Statuaire de Carrare marble during the 19th century. The entablature is decorated in the middle with a rosette enclosed on both sides by panels made out of a thin line of pearls. The jambs are fluted, filleted and decorated with asparagus heads. The heads of the jambs feature carved square rosettes.
This fireplace is sold with anantique cast iron insert but without any marble floor. But one could be made to order.
