This very beautiful Regence style fireplace in Breche Violette marble was made in the 19th century. Its elegantly curved entablature is decorated with a finely carved leafy shell with beautiful reliefs, and large scrolls above the jambs. These are slightly curved and paneled.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
