This antique Louis XVI style mantel was made in the 19th century in carved Carrara marble.
The front is decorated with a frieze of laurel wreath and olive branches, symbol of Victory & Peace. Nicely carved floral paterae endblocks topping fluted jambs with foliated rudentures.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert but without any marble floor (could be made to order).
