This Neo-Renaissance style carved walnut fireplace was made in the 19th century. Columns jambs support a strong carved entablature carved in high relief with characters heads and a lion protome. A hood crowns the fireplace. A battle scene carved in low relief adorns the center of the hood.
The insert is made out of copper.
