This antique Louis XVI style overmantel pierglass was made in the 19th century. Laurel branches surround the mirror while some crowns and branches of flowers, a knot, a torch and a quiver constitute the ornamental vocabulary typical of the style that sits in the upper part of the overmantel pierglass. The gold leaves have two patinas, contributing to the sophistication of this beautiful mirror.
