This large antique Louis XVI style overmantel pierglass was made during the 19th century in France. Inspired by the eighteenth century taste for the countryside, naturalistic wreaths, on which flowers and vegetation are getting mixed up, decorate the frame of the mirror. In the upper part, a medallion, with a ribbon on its upper part, represents the sculpture allegory with putti.
