This trumeau is composed of a mirror framed by a filleted frieze and crowned by a wreath of flowers and a carved panel above. Framed by a recessed molding the panels presents a composition of musical instrument and garlands of foliage, all tied up with ribbons, very typical of the Louis XVI style.
The back of the mirror is covered with mercury, as was the custom before.
