Elegant Louis XVI style trumeau made of a large mirror set in a wood frame. Two carved trompe l'oeil pilasters rise to capitals created by two projections of the cornice. At the base of the pilasters are vases full of foliage. The mirror is framed by pearls, a classical Louis XVI ornament. Above the mirror, a panel displays rinceaux of foliage and flowers. An egg-and-dart motif creates a cornice.
Original trumeau mirror of mantel #1620.
