Antique Louis XVI Style White Marble Mantel with Pearls and Cast iron Insert  Sold item  (Reference 1523)

Description

Sold item

With a Louis XVI style composition, this mantel offers a very original molded décor. The curved jambs are adorned with panels framed with rows of pearls, as is the entablature, where moldings run across the front, flanked by heads with sunflowers. The refined and classical décor, is a quiet frame for the more vibrant décor of the carefully designed cast iron insert. This insert is lush with intertwining branches rising from a vase of flowers - the whole ensemble is framed with rows of pearls. A very elegant and subtle design for this Arabescato marble mantel.
