Large Neo-Renaissance style carved walnut mantel with columns from the 19th century. The jambs adorned with detached twisted columns rising to Corinthian capitals. The entablature bears a sculpted molded decor supporting a semi-circular tympanium presenting a salamander flanked on either side by a gallery. This powerful mantel is adorned with a two tone enameled insert and an iron curtain.
