Depth: 5'' ⅞  15cm

Origin:
France, second half of the 19th century.

Status:
Good condition.

Very beautiful pair of gilt bronze and cloisonné enamels vases, Orientalist style, made in the second half of the 19th century. The vases are entirely covered with foliages and oriental-inspired interlacing made of cloisonné enamel on a blue background, characteristic of Orientalist works.
The vases rest on a gilt bronze base composed of four elephant heads very richly decorated.
These vases are to be compared to the work of Ferdinand Barbedienne after a model by Edouard Lièvre.
