This antique Louis XVI style fireplace was made in the 19th century in Carrara marble. Large acanthus leaves drop down on the jambs decorated with oblong moldings. They support a frieze adorned at its ends with naturalistic square rosettes and at its center with a large oval rosette very finely carved.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
