In good condition. Some stains on the marble floor. Light traces of the former wood panels on both sides of the fireplace.
This superb antique Louis XVI style fireplace was made in the 19th century. It is a rare model, particularly crafted and original. The jambs are decorated with fluted and tapered half-columns, tapering downwards to be covered with foliage and adorned with a pine cone. These fine foliages also cover the capitals. The entablature is adorned with a panel set with a row of pearls.
This rare fireplace evokes the ancient ornamentation of the Greek and Egyptian temples. Its marble of Carrara highlights the fineness of the sculptures.
This fireplace is sold with its original three squares marble floor but without any fireplace insert.
