Stained glass Neo-Renaissance window depicting Nicholas Bachelier architect and sculptor in Toulouse, circa 1550.

Additional information

Nicolas Bachelier was an architect and sculptor born in the North of France circa 1500, who worked in Toulouse until his death in 1556. He built some of the most prestigious private hotels in Toulouse: Hotel de Bagis (1538), Hotel de Bernuy (1544), Hotel d'Assyat (1555). He was also an engineer but was most famous for promoting classical architecture in Toulouse. There are examples of his sculptural work in a low relief in the Church of Our Lady of Dalbade, in Toulouse.
