This Louis XV style gilded bronze firescreen, made in the 19th century, has a richly ornate decoration set in a highly curved frame. Surrounded by acanthus leaves, the centre of the screen shows a torch motif, around which a ribbon and vegetal motifs are wrapped. The decoration on top of the screen is slightly asymmetrical. The screen rests on four curved legs, the front two in acanthus leaf design.
