This super Louis XVI style mantel was made in the second half of the 19th century in a Paonazzo marble. It’s adorned with carved bronzes.
The jambs filleted and curved shows carved bronzes sculpter as acanthus leaves in the upper part and in the flutes. The jambs support the entablure adorned on its center of carved bronze as a flowered cup adjoined with a frieze of acanthus leaves, all is framed by a pearls edging. The extremities are adorned with squared rosettes, typical of the Louis XVI style.
This fireplace is sold with its original brass interior and with its hearth floor which is broken but will be restored by us.
