This very beautiful Louis XVI style fireplace was made out of cream marble with bits of purple, during the 19th century. The entablature is decorated in the centre with a bronze bas-relief, with an image of putti on it, high quality chiselling. The curved jambs are also decorated with bronze ribbons, and heads which are decorated with square rosettes.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert. This fireplace is sold without any hearth but one could be made to order, copying the chosen marble.
