This important wood overmantel was made in the late 19th century.
The mirror is surmounted by a large Louis XV style decoration in bas-relief composed of a stylized shell and scrolls of acanthus leaves and flowers. The medallion is adorned with a representation of Poseison, sat on sledge pulled by two swans.
