This small fireplace from Burgundy dates from the 19th century. Made out of stone, the two jambs and the lintel are each made of a single block of stone, which is characteristic of the Burgundian fireplaces.
This fireplace has two additional stone blocks : they are placed at the back of the top shelf, framing the chimney flue that is not aligned with the wall.
