Art Nouveau style lamp, made of acid-etched glass paste with a red background, decorated with parrots. Signature on the foot in the decor "MULLER FRES LUNEVILLE.
The signature is characteristic of the period 1919 - 1935 but the realization of this lamp, which shape and decor evoke the Art Nouveau, seems rather to be towards 1920.
The Frères Muller's technique is to blow several layers of colored glass then to carve the decoration with a wheel to finally engrave it with acid. This craft technique demonstrates the expertise of genius artists.
