This imposing 17th century mantelpiece was carved in stone. The lintel goes slightly forward in the middle. There, it is adorned with flowers in varying degrees of blossom. The line of the mantelpiece goes up at this place to surround a flower. On either side, the lintel is also decorated with two cartouches featuring the same geometrical plant pattern. The jambs follow a gentle curve, they feature an identical motif, arranged in a different way.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor floor but could be made to order (please ask for availability).
