Napoleon III console in statuary and Turquin Blue marbles with bronze decorations

This very beautiful console with a rich bronze decor was made in the second half of the 19th century in statuary marble and lightened up with elements in Blue Turquin marble.
The header with the curved and fluted sides, shows on its middle an acanthus scrolls decoration in bronze, of which a part is missing. The joining parts of which the back is made of Blue Turquin marble should receive roses in bronze surrounding with pearls trim, but only one of the two is still here. About the feet, they receive imposing console elements with volutes in Blue Turquin marble ligthened up with bronze decors such as a oak leaves crown and asperagus heads on the flutes.
