Good condition, with patina of age.
From the second period of the reign of Louis XIV, this large bracket is beautifully balanced. A broad curve connects the vertical post to the horizontal one, whilst the volutes complete this feature. Corolla shaped foilage falls from the centre and ends in a “pig’s tail”. Beautiful wrought iron feature from the period and in the style of Louis XIV, which subtly highlights the achievements of the Regence style.
