This pair of doors and this blacony in Art Deco style were made by the decorator Gilbert Poillerat in 1936 for the Caisse Autonome d'Amortissements Tabacs et Allumettes (Fund for Tobacco and Matches)
Gilbert Poillerat (1902-1988), master of wrought iron, established himself in the 1930s as a first-class artistic ironworker. He was the author of numerous decorations for public buildings and was also commissioned to make the Chain of the Grand Master of the Order of the Liberation, handed over to Charles de Gaulle. His works now have their place in museums, when they no longer decorate the buildings of the time.
These doors and this balcony were reproduced in the magazine "Art et Decoration" in 1936.
