This beautiful fire fender was made of gilt bronze in the second half of the 19th century. It presents an impressive chiseled and eclectic decoration, typical of the period. Indeed, we find, on each sides mounts very richly adorned with shells, faun mascarons and acanthus leaves. Lions come also to lay on them. The two mounts are linked by a fender receiving on its center a magnificent Rococo shell.
