Exceptional Louis XVI style fireplace in veined white marble, richly adorned with finely chiseled gilt bronze ornaments. The frieze features a magnificent central decoration of classical trophies intertwined with vine branches and ribbons, blending symmetry and fluidity. The fluted column-shaped jambs are wrapped with spiraling bronze bands and topped with gilded Corinthian capitals, enhancing the architectural balance of the piece. At each end of the frieze, a gilt bronze laurel wreath – symbol of glory and triumph – adds a distinguished finishing touch. This refined creation, typical of late 18th-century craftsmanship, is a perfect example of the neoclassical elegance of the Louis XVI period.
