This Louis XVI style fireplace mantel was made in the 19th century. The white Carrara marble highlights the sculpture of the acanthus leaves that cover the top of the console feet. The bandeau is finished at each end with delicately carved square rosettes and adorned in its centre with Cupid's attributes: an arch and a quiver.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
