Exceptional antique Louis XV style mantel made of Carrara marble in the nineteenth century. It is adorned with a rich sculptural decoration. The entablature bears a large upside down shell framed with flowering branches. The front and jambs are covered with molded rounded lushly carved panels. The heads are represented by upside down shells with a branch of flowers.
