This beautiful antique Empire style fireplace has a "Neo-Greek" decor. Two Greek women made out of Statuary Carrara marble decorate both ends of the entablature. The bodies are attached to two tapered jambs made out Sea Green marble Green.Their feet come out at the end of the jambs, also made out of Statuary Carrara marble. The entablature is decorated with a central frieze in Statuary marble depicting two griffins divided on either side by a trophy.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert or marble floor.
