This Louis XVI style Fireplace was made in the 19th century out of a veined marble.
It is decorated with moldings on the entablature and jambs decorated with fluted pilasters and "rudentures".
The modern cast iron insert use Louis XVI style ornaments, such as : laurel, garland of flowers, knotted ribbons, ribbons rushes and trumpets.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
