This antique Louis XVI style fireplace was made out of white Carrara marble during the 19th century. This style of rounded corners includes jambs carved with rudented fluting, topped with asparagus heads. The top of the jambs are decorated with square rosettes. A medallion of an acanthus leaf is placed in the centre of the entablature.
This fireplace is sold with an antique cast iron insert but without any marble floor. A marble floor could be made to order.
